Job Overview

The Road Freight Business Development Consultant plays a crucial role in expanding the client base of Primeserv Recruitment within South Africa and across the SADC region. This position requires a dynamic individual with strong sales acumen in the logistics and road freight industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Business Development: Identify and source new business opportunities through networking, cold calling, and lead generation activities.
  • Lead Conversion: Develop a qualified pipeline of leads and convert to actual billing sustainable clients.
  • Client Management: Manage client relationships, both existing and new.
  • Administrative Duties: Conduct and manage daily general administrative duties.
  • Sales Analysis: Analyze sales and report weekly to the Director.
  • Tender Preparation: Assist in tender/proposal preparation, submission, and presentation.
Requirements and Skills
  • Matric/Grade 12: A minimum of a Matric/Grade 12 qualification is required.
  • Sales Experience: A minimum of 2-3 years of new business sales experience with an existing network of clients.
  • Logistics Industry Knowledge: A basic understanding of the logistics industry and supply chain.
  • Tender Management: Experience in tender management is essential.
  • Strategic Accounts: Experience with the implementation of strategic accounts.

  • Detail-Oriented: The ideal candidate should be detail-oriented and have good planning skills.
  • Pressure Handling: The ability to handle pressure and pressure situations is essential.
  • Professional Conduct: A high level of professional conduct and appearance is required.
