Southern Africa Generator Sales Professional

The Talent Scout is seeking a skilled Generator Sales Representative to join our team in Southern Africa. As a Generator Sales Representative, you will be responsible for driving business growth and achieving annual revenue targets through effective sales management and strategic planning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Mainstream Product and Service Sales: Develop revenue from the sales of generators and lighting towers to customers, as well as renting generators of between 60kVA-1,2750kVA. This role focuses on driving sales in the manufacturing, property, industrial, construction, and retail sectors.
- Sales Lead Identification and Development: Identify key companies and prospects in target sectors, cold calling, pre-qualifying leads, and new business prospecting & opening new doors.
- Prospect Understanding and Education: Understand prospect's current situation, historical information, purchase drivers, and competitive landscape, introduce the brand, educate the prospect regarding technical benefits, pricing points, and key differentiators – warranty terms, OEM parts, subsidiary pricing.
- Daily Sales and Rental Operations: Engage in daily sales and rental of products and services in the region, cold calling, scheduling, and meeting clients daily.
- Sales Quotations and Securing Orders: Qualify, quote, and secure sales of company products and services, provide weekly feedback on sales activities to management.
- Effective Time Management and CRM Use: Manage individual time effectively to ensure adequate coverage of key sectors and geographies, utilize an effective CRM system.
Requirements:
- Travel and Location Flexibility: Ability to travel regularly in SA and across the region.
- Qualifications and Experience: Preferably a National Diploma or Degree in a relevant field, advantageous; 3-5 years' experience in a similar role.
- Personal Attributes and Skills: Hands-on person with a 'never say die' attitude, strong focus on sales and service, ability to work long hours, valid driver's license, positive attitude, and ability to work independently with little supervision.
- Desired Skills: Selling capability, time management, technically apt, peoples person, understanding of QHSE best practices, entrepreneurial mindset, multi-tasking, excellent communication skills (verbal and written), confidence to engage with individuals at all levels within an organization, self-motivated & disciplined, computer literate.
