The Working Earth: Reservations Manager Job Description


We are seeking a highly skilled Reservations Manager to join our team at The Working Earth. As a key member of our reservations office, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional customer service and maximizing revenue.


Job Summary:


This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced reservations professional to take charge of managing the entire reservation process from initial inquiry to final booking. You will be responsible for efficiently handling guest inquiries, providing tailored itineraries, and ensuring accurate rates and booking terms are displayed online.


About The Role:


As a Reservations Manager at The Working Earth, you will be responsible for:


  • Providing exceptional customer service as the first point of contact for guests interested in Samara;


  • Efficiently managing the reservation process from initial inquiry to final booking;


  • Selling accommodations and experiences to maximize revenue while delivering outstanding guest experiences;


  • Cultivating strong relationships with tour operators and travel advisors by providing prompt and detailed information;


  • Implementing strategies to optimize conversion rates and create tailored itineraries for VIPs and themed trips;


  • Ensuring accurate and up-to-date rates and booking terms are displayed on online platforms;


  • Generating comprehensive reports on sales, income, new business, inquiries, and booking releases;


  • Contributing to the smooth operation of the reservations office by performing general administrative tasks;



What We Offer:


In return for your hard work and dedication, we offer a competitive salary of approximately R200,000 per annum, depending on experience.


Requirements:


To be successful in this role, you will need:


  • At least 3-5 years of hospitality reservations experience;


  • Knowledge of PAN Hospitality software is advantageous;


  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills;


  • Excellent organizational and time management skills;


  • The ability to work independently and effectively as part of a team;


  • A willingness to work remotely in a lodge environment;


  • Additional customer service experience is advantageous;


  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is beneficial.
