You will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to develop and implement comprehensive business development and sales strategies, focusing on increasing market share in existing and new sectors.

This Sales Growth Manager role is a unique opportunity to leverage your technical expertise and business acumen to drive sales growth and expand our presence in the African market.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for:

  1. Developing and implementing comprehensive business development and sales strategies to drive revenue growth and increase market share in existing and new sectors.
  2. Identifying and engaging potential clients, building and maintaining strong, long-term relationships with key stakeholders in private and government sectors.
  3. Conducting in-depth research to identify new market opportunities and understanding industry trends, customer needs, and competitive dynamics.
  4. Working with the team to translate complex technical concepts into compelling sales pitches, presentations, and proposals.
  5. Leading the full sales cycle, from lead generation and initial contact through to deal negotiation and closing.
  6. Negotiating and structuring deals, ensuring contracts are economically viable and aligned with the company's strategic objectives.
  7. Developing and optimising CRM systems, sales processes, and workflow templates for different industries.
  8. Regularly engaging with project and technical teams to ensure seamless project execution and delivery.
  9. Providing feedback and after-sales support to clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
  10. Leading tender and project proposal submissions, coordinating inputs across teams to deliver winning submissions.
  11. Reporting directly to the CEO, presenting data-driven insights and progress updates on business development and sales activities.

Requirements

  1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, Business, or a related field.
  2. Advanced degrees such as an MBA or MSc in a technical field are highly valued.
  3. Minimum 5+ years of experience in business development, sales, or partnerships, ideally in a technical field.
  4. Experience working with geospatial data or in industries such as agriculture, energy, or environment is advantageous.
  5. Experience within the RPAS (Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems)/drone sector is highly advantageous.
  6. Proven track record of structuring and closing significant transactions with private and government entities.
  7. Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence and drive strategic outcomes.
  8. Demonstrated ability to understand complex technical concepts and translate them into clear business value propositions.
  9. Strong analytical skills and experience with project budgeting, pricing, and revenue modelling.
  10. High level of adaptability and willingness to engage across multiple sectors.
