Job Title: Lecturer: Transportation Management

Varsity College is seeking a qualified Lecturer: Transportation Management to join our Faculty of Management Studies department. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering effective facilitation/lecturing on qualifications and all associated academic activities such as student engagement and support that will promote student success and learning.

Qualifications:
  • Honours in Supply Chain Management/ Logistics Management or one of the related fields (e.g. Purchasing, Operations/ Production, Inventory, Warehousing) with a special focus on the following: Logistics; Operations and Production Management; Warehousing; Integrated Logistics and Transport Management to the third year in the undergraduate qualification.
  • Alternatively: A Bachelor of Commerce or Bachelor of Business Administration with Supply Chain Management/ Logistics Management or a similarly related field (e.g. Purchasing, Operations/ Production, Inventory; Sustainable Management) to the third-year level PLUS either an MBA/MCom/MPhil or a Postgraduate Diploma in Supply Chain Management and/or Logistics
Experience:
  • Industry experience in commerce.
  • Lecturing experience in Supply Chain Management/ Integrated Logistics Management/ Risk/ Supply Chain/Logistics or Transportation Management
  • Work experience as a logistics manager/ supply chain manager/ logistics or transportation manager.
Working Conditions:
