Position Overview:
The IIE Varsity College, Sandton Campus, is looking for qualified candidates in the field of Commerce to enhance the teaching and research capabilities within the Faculty of Management Studies for the following academic role:

  • Transportation Management

Job Objective:
The main objective of this role is to provide effective instruction and facilitation on academic programs, alongside engaging with students to foster their success and learning outcomes.

Essential Qualifications:

Preferred:

  • Honours degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics Management, or related fields (e.g., Purchasing, Operations/Production, Inventory, Warehousing) with a focus on Logistics, Operations and Production Management, Warehousing, Integrated Logistics, and Transport Management to the third year of undergraduate study.

Alternatively:

  • Bachelor of Commerce or Bachelor of Business Administration with Supply Chain Management, Logistics Management, or a related field (e.g., Purchasing, Operations/Production, Inventory, Sustainable Management) to the third-year level, plus either an MBA, MCom, MPhil, or a Postgraduate Diploma in Supply Chain Management and/or Logistics.

Experience Requirements:

  • Professional experience in commerce.
  • Teaching experience in Supply Chain Management, Integrated Logistics Management, Risk Management, or Transportation Management.
  • Experience in roles such as logistics manager, supply chain manager, or transportation manager.

Work Environment:

  • This position is classified as an Independent Contractor role.
