The IIE Varsity College, Sandton Campus  is seeking appointees in the field of Commerce to strengthen the teaching and research capabilities in the Faculty of Management Studies department for the following lecturing role:

  • Transport Management

Job Purpose:

The primary purpose of this position is the delivery of effective facilitation/lecturing on qualifications and all associated academic activities such as student engagement and support that will promote student success and learning.

Minimum Qualification Requirements:

Ideal:

  • Honours in Supply Chain Management/ Logistics Management or one of the related fields (e.g. Purchasing, Operations/ Production, Inventory, Warehousing) with a special focus on the following: Logistics; Operations and Production Management; Warehousing; Integrated Logistics and Transport Management to the third year in the undergraduate qualification.

Alternatively:

  • A Bachelor of Commerce or Bachelor of Business Administration with Supply Chain Management/ Logistics Management or a similarly related field (e.g. Purchasing, Operations/ Production, Inventory; Sustainable Management) to the third-year level PLUS either an MBA/MCom/MPhil or a Postgraduate Diploma in Supply Chain Management and/or Logistics

Minimum Work Experience Requirements:

  • Industry experience in commerce.
  • Lecturing experience in Supply Chain Management/ Integrated Logistics Management/ Risk/ Supply Chain/Logistics or Transportation Management
  • Work experience as a logistics manager/ supply chain manager/ logistics or transportation manager.
