Job Summary

Cletech Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Human Resources and Industrial Relations Specialist to join our team. As an HR/IR Officer, you will play a critical role in managing disputes and conflicts between community members, site personnel, and community leaders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conflict Management: Effectively manage disputes and conflicts between community members, site personnel, and community leaders, ensuring that all parties are treated fairly and with respect.
  • Culture and Ethics: Understand and appreciate community culture and ethics to ensure that appropriate conflict management skills are used.
  • Dispute Resolution: Manage CCMA, BIBC, and BCCEI disputes and resolutions, including conflicts between employees.
  • Relationship Building: Build and maintain constructive relationships with management, staff, and external communities to ensure the smooth facilitation of project completion.
  • Meeting Facilitation: Facilitate and chair key meetings between stakeholders, community members, and site personnel.
  • Employment Law: Advise all employees on the interpretation, application, and implementation of employment law and policies, procedures, and processes.
  • Labour Relations: Facilitate the management and promotion of fair and sound Labour Relations by interpreting and applying relevant legislation, including the Employment Equity Act, Labour Relations Act, Basic Conditions of Employment Act, Workplace Law, Compensation for Occupational Injuries and Diseases Act, and Occupational Health and Safety Act.
  • Personnel Management: Knowledge of principles and procedures for personnel recruitment, selection, training, compensation, and benefits, labour relations, and negotiation, as well as personnel information systems.
  • Attention to Detail: Ability to work accurately and efficiently with attention to detail while following established procedures.
  • Documentation: Assist with confidential documentation preparation as required.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: Matric Certificate and a tertiary degree or diploma in Human Resources or a relevant qualification.
  • Experience: A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in Industrial Relations within the Construction Industry.
  • Valid Driver's License: A valid driver's license is required.
