**Job Summary**

The Northern Mozambique displacement response requires effective management to ensure activities align with Plan International's standard policies and procedures. This role leads rapid needs assessments, focusing on children's and girls' specific needs. Recommendations are provided to the Country Director and senior management team on programming options and priorities.

This position also involves selecting local partner organizations, ensuring alignment with Plan International's approach and programming priorities in humanitarian crises. Support is provided to program technical specialists to ensure high-quality programs have a direct positive impact on affected children.

**Key Responsibilities**

Overall responsibility for preparation of quality reports and updates on the northern displacement for different Plan Entities and external actors. Develop an appropriate grant pipeline in collaboration with BDM at Country Office. Work closely with BDM to develop funding submissions to institutional donors.

**Requirements**

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Disaster Risk Management, humanitarian studies, international development, international relations, social studies, agriculture, public health, or similar field.
  • Demonstrated experience of key practice and standards for humanitarian response such as SPHERE and CHS.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and authoritatively on area of expertise, and influence others to reach common goals.
  • Proven experiences and ability to coordinate and collaborate with different organizations including the government and demonstrable working experience in development programme.
  • Demonstrated track record of proposal writing.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Portuguese and English.

**Desirable Qualifications**

  • Post graduate qualification in managing rapid and slow onset disasters, disaster risk reduction; conflict analysis; humanitarian response, climate adaptation; and program management including result-based monitoring and evaluation.
