The Role

You will be responsible for:

  • Talent Acquisition: Understanding business requirements, obtaining management approvals, collaborating with business stakeholders to create job descriptions, outlining the hiring approach, and selecting the ideal candidate for the role.
  • Compensation and Benefits: Coordinating with the Corporate HR Team in Bangalore for compensation finalization and administering benefits to employees of both entities in accordance with compensation and benefit guidelines and HR policies.
  • Employee Relations: Managing employee personnel records, tracking employment contracts for various categories, and ensuring all valid contracts are in place.
  • Performance Management: Ensuring timely completion of employee performance management processes, including coordination with business/functional managers and corporate HR for employee development, facilitating periodic reviews, and evaluating annual performance ratings in consultation with the Regional Head-SADC Region.
  • Statutory Compliance: Managing labor-related statutory compliance and regulations for the SADC region.
  • Payroll Processing: Coordinating and sharing inputs for payroll processing.

Ideal Profile

  • Ensuring consistent application and communication of HR policies.
  • Managing HR projects, such as digitization, from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals.
  • Driving employee engagement programs.
  • Regularly visiting offices and sites for employee interactions.
  • Keeping management and corporate HR teams updated on local HR topics and issues.
  • Collaborating with the Corporate HR Team at Bangalore.
  • Minimum 6 years of experience, including experience in a similar role within Industrial and Utilities.
  • Strong knowledge of legal and statutory requirements pertaining to HR practices.
  • Experience in building partnerships and advising multiple stakeholders.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information professionally.
  • Sound business acumen and thorough understanding of business fundamentals.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact and build credibility across all levels of the organization.
  • Working knowledge of Talent Acquisition, Compensation and Benefits, Employee Relations, Payroll Processing, and Statutory Compliance.
  • Strong networking and relationship-building skills.
  • Highly goal-driven and able to work well in fast-paced environments.
  • Strong attention to detail and delivery of high-quality work.
  • Willingness to undertake 0-30% travel.
