Executive Culinary Director

We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Executive Chef to lead our culinary team at a prestigious 5-star game lodge. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for creating exceptional dining experiences by designing diverse and seasonal menus, managing kitchen operations, and ensuring the highest standards of food quality and presentation.
Key Responsibilities:- Menu Development: Design and develop innovative and seasonal menus that align with the lodge's luxury standards and guest preferences.
- Kitchen Operations: Oversee all kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation, ensuring high quality and consistency.
- Team Management: Manage and lead the kitchen team, including hiring, training, and evaluating staff performance.
- Compliance and Safety: Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations, maintaining the highest standards in the kitchen.
- Cost Control: Control food costs and manage inventory, including ordering and budgeting, to optimize profitability and minimize waste.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with the Food and Beverage Manager/Director to align culinary offerings with the lodge's overall dining strategy.
- Procedure Development: Create and implement procedures for efficient kitchen operations and effective food service.
- Team Development: Foster a positive and creative kitchen environment, encouraging team collaboration and development.
- Culinary Innovation: Stay updated on culinary trends, techniques, and innovations to keep the lodge's dining offerings fresh and exciting.
- Guest Experience: Handle guest feedback and special requests, ensuring exceptional dining experiences.
- Culinary Experience: Proven experience as an Executive Chef or in a similar senior culinary role, preferably in a luxury or high-end establishment.
- Culinary Knowledge: Strong knowledge of contemporary and classic cooking techniques, ingredients, and food presentation.
- Leadership Skills: Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and develop kitchen staff.
- Kitchen Management: Proficiency in kitchen management, including budgeting, inventory control, and menu planning.
- Food Safety: In-depth understanding of food safety and hygiene standards.
- Creative Flair: Creative flair and a passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences.
- Communication Skills: Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with other departments.
- Culinary Qualifications: Culinary qualifications from a recognized institution or equivalent experience.
