The Sales Team Lead for Commercial Vehicles is a key position at Staff Solutions Recruitment that oversees the sales operations for our commercial vehicle clients. This role requires strong leadership and management skills to drive sales growth, manage relationships with dealerships and branches, and ensure effective communication throughout the organization.

Job Responsibilities
  • Sales Performance: Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve 100% vehicle sales targets, monitor sales performance, and provide feedback to dealerships and branches.
  • Dealer Support: Visit dealerships in the region at least six times per year, provide adequate feedback, and assist them in developing business plans to improve all aspects of their business.
  • Training and Development: Assist dealerships and branches in setting up training plans to upskill staff members, participate in relevant training programs, and mentor internal staff to ensure continued competence within the business.
  • Financial Management: Manage operational budgets, ensure planning and cost-saving control, and prevent waste by adhering to a visit cycle and monitoring debtors books.

This role also involves collaborating with the internal marketing team to ensure successful implementation of marketing efforts at dealerships, monitoring customer-compliant resolution, and assisting branches and dealers to obtain and retain key accounts.

Requirements
  • Tertiary Sales Qualification: A tertiary sales qualification is required for this role, as well as a minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar position.
  • Commercial/Truck Industry Experience: Relevant commercial/truck industry experience is essential for this role.
  • Code 8 License: A Code 8 license and own vehicle are required for this position.

  • Excellent Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills are necessary for this role, including interpersonal, presentation, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Proactive Approach: A confident and proactive approach is required to anticipate issues and requirements, ensuring a high-quality work ethic exists at all times.
