Kencorp is seeking a skilled Payroll Administrator to join our team. As a key member of our payroll department, you will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely processing of payroll for our employees.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with our HR department to ensure payroll processing is loaded onto the payroll system.
  • Process payroll for employees within required deadlines and ensure supporting documentation and approval are in place.
  • Verify and process new employee onboarding done by our HR team.
  • Modify existing employee information, such as banking details and movements.
  • Check and process once-off changes, such as pay-rate increases.
  • Prepare monthly payroll reports for submission and review to the payroll supervisor.
  • Complete UIF forms, such as UI-19, Certificate of Service, and Maternity documents as required.
  • Maintain payroll information through efficient record keeping and filing.
  • Resolve queries and ensure ongoing compliance.
  • Provide support to management for account reconciliations and payroll reports.
  • Assist with payroll-related tax and financial year-end procedures.
  • General administrative support and ad hoc duties related to payroll administration.
Requirements
  • Grade 12 or NQF 4 Certificate.
  • At least 2 years' experience as a Payroll Administrator or similar role.
  • Working knowledge of SBCPP payroll software is advantageous.
  • Payroll Certificate and/or accounting exposure is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel).
  • Accurate data entry skills with great attention to detail and dedication to quality.
  • Strong numeracy skills.
  • Ability to maintain data integrity and strong reporting skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to manage all aspects of payroll in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Ability to deal with sensitive and confidential information in a professional manner.
  • Good teamwork skills and ability to work independently where required.
  • Ability to tackle challenges from different perspectives to problem solve.
  • Sound understanding of human resources and labour rules and regulations.
