The estimated annual salary for this role is approximately R950,000 (South Africa) based on industry standards and the job requirements.

About the Role:

This Senior Associate Marketing Commercialization position will report into the Marketing Manager for Africa Cluster. The role involves developing, managing, and creating sustainable brand strategies based on a comprehensive understanding of consumer needs, anticipating and adapting to market shifts across key markets within the cluster.

To be successful in this role, you'll need to be an organised individual with the ability to multi-task and prioritise. You should also work well within a team environment and individually when needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop comprehensive brand plans for the year ahead, clearly articulating specific focus areas (NPD's/Activities/Pricing/Distribution/Country Expansion) for the brand.
  • Translate consumer insights into innovative product solutions.
  • Be involved in the end-to-end process of new product development.
  • Work cross-functionally with internal stakeholders to drive marketing-support activities based on brand strategy.
  • Manage external agencies to deliver on relevant consumer campaigns and deliver return on investment based on business objectives.
  • Understand brand P&L, with recommendations of clear action points where needed.
  • Extract, analyse, and provide clear insights based on Nielsen and other retailer-related databases.
  • Assume A&P responsibility and management.

Experience Required:

You'll bring a minimum of 3-5 years' experience in brand management with relevant exposure to core marketing competencies: Consumer insight, New product development, Project management, Go-to-market planning and execution, Commercial understanding, MS Office, and Nielsen understanding.

Additionally, you'll hold a Bachelor's Degree in Marketing/IMM Diploma (Marketing Preferred).
