Job Title: Senior Safari Travel Consultant

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Travel Consultant to join our team at ABC Worldwide. As a Senior Safari Travel Consultant, you will be responsible for promoting and booking traveling arrangements for clients, enhancing satisfaction, and acquiring an expanding and dedicated clientele.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough research on various destinations and travel options, considering factors such as prices, customs, weather conditions, and reviews.
  • Diagnose clients' specifications and wishes, and suggest suitable travel packages or services that meet their needs.
  • Organize travels from beginning to end, including booking tickets and accommodation, securing rental transportation, and providing travelers with pertinent information and useful travel/holiday material.
  • Collect deposits and balances, and handle unforeseen problems and complaints in a professional manner.
  • Use promotional techniques and prepare promotional materials to sell itinerary tour packages, and maintain relationships with key persons.
  • Keep financial statements and documents up to date, and ensure that revenue and profit targets are met.
Requirements:
  • Proven working experience as a Travel Consultant, with a minimum of 5 years' experience desirable.
  • Knowledge of Eastern and Southern African Travel is highly desirable.
  • Excellent knowledge of traveling software, including computer reservations systems, GDS systems, and e-travel.
  • Proficiency in English, with knowledge of additional languages an advantage.
  • Exemplary sales skills and customer-oriented approach, with the ability to present, persuade, and communicate effectively.
  • Demonstrable ability to handle crises, and a degree in Hospitality, Travel, Tourism, Business, or a relevant field.
