We are seeking an experienced Sales Engineer to join our team at Bridge Personnel Concepts. The successful candidate will have a strong passion for sales and the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.

  1. Assist the Business Unit in achieving its new orders budget and profitability.
  2. Maintain existing and potential customers to solicit enquiries.
  3. Identify and develop potential markets, customer groups, and industries.
  4. Plan and execute marketing opportunities.
  5. Review customers specifications and commercial conditions.
  6. Provide technically orientated solutions to meet customer requirements.
  7. Liaise with internal departments such as engineering, drawing office, procurement, factory, services/construction etc.
  8. Prepare cost estimates and programs, including issuing and adjudicating purchase enquiries for bought-out items.
  9. Prepare commercial and technical proposal documents in line with company procedures.
  10. Follow-up on tenders, negotiate contracts, and secure orders.
  11. Prepare and issue order confirmations and hand-over to the Contract Department.
  12. Monitor market developments for development of the Sales strategy.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's or Masters degree in Engineering (Mechatronic, Mechanical)
  2. Minimum of 5 years experience in a similar position and industry
  3. High proficiency in MS 365 (Word/Excel/PowerPoint/Teams/SharePoint)
  4. Experience in a technical or commercial role in B2B sales (sales, marketing, business development)
  5. Experience with capital-intensive investment decision-making process
  6. Affinity with thermal energy and steam or hot water systems
  7. Experience in consulting, design, contracting, and project co-ordination experience
  8. Affinity with marketing and CRM systems

  2. Ability to interact with customers at all levels of seniority
  3. Capability to clearly translate customer requirements into technically and commercially strong solutions
  4. Strong persuasion, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
  5. Detail orientated and excellent communication skills, both verbally and written in English
  6. Efficiently managing time and prioritizing tasks to maximize productivity and meet deadlines

Working Conditions:

  1. Ability to work well within a team and independently
  2. Keen interest in technical products and processes with the ability to learn quickly and apply new product knowledge
  3. Willingness to regularly travel locally and internationally, especially in Africa
