Detailed Job Description
- Establish and maintain business relationships with current customers and prospective customers in the assigned territory/market segment to generate new business for the organization's products and services.
- Communicate with existing and prospective customers via presentations, various communication channels, in-person visits, and cold calling.
- Conduct research to identify potential customers and gather information to determine their value to the organization.
- Develop clear and effective written proposals and quotations for current and prospective customers.
- Resolve customer complaints and after-sales inquiries in a timely and efficient manner.
- Collaborate with the sales team, marketing, management, accounting, logistics, and technical service groups to achieve sales goals.
- Analyze the market potential and identify the value of existing and prospective customers to the organization.
- Identify the advantages and compare the organization's products and services.
- Develop a personal sales strategy that maximizes the Return on Time Investment (ROTI) for the territory/segment.
- Provide management with regular reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments to identify opportunities for product improvements or the introduction of new products.
- Participate in boat and trade shows, conventions, and related events to promote the Marine brand and products.
Reporting Information
- Reports directly to the Commercial Manager.

Required Experience and Qualifications
- Proven track record in sales with a preference for those with marine or boating sales experience and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent proposal writing and presentation skills, as well as a strong CRM background.
- Ability to prospect and conduct cold calls with courtesy and professionalism.
- Self-motivation, result-orientation, and ability to work independently or within a team environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications and contact management software.
- A valid driver's license and willingness to travel are essential requirements for this position.
