Administrative Accounts Specialist

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Accounts Specialist to join our team in East London. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing accounts payable, ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices, and maintaining effective relationships with suppliers.
About the Role:
This is a temporary role for 6 months, commencing in January 2025. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years' experience in a similar role, possess excellent communication skills, and be proficient in Pastel Evolution and Microsoft Excel.
Key Responsibilities:
- Capture and process sundry creditor invoices onto Pastel Evolution, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail
- Reconcile supplier statements and ensure correct documentation is attached to invoices
- Prepare and submit month-end reconciliations to the Financial Accountant for review and sign-off
- Maintain an efficient filing system for sundry creditors and perform monthly reviews of credit aging
- Process payments from bank statements and prepare payment recons
- Communicate effectively with all relevant departments and suppliers
Requirements:
- Matric certificate
- Post-matric qualification advantageous
- Valid code 08 driver's license
- Pastel Experience
- Advanced Excel skills
- Attention to detail
- Ability to use own initiative
