We are seeking a highly skilled Service Technician to join our dynamic team at Staff Solutions Recruitment. As a Service Technician, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality, specialized services within the food and beverage industry.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Customer Relationship Management: Ensure a professional approach when dealing with various Heads of Departments, maintain strong customer relationships, and ensure technical and chemical site functions are performed to the highest standards.
  • Technical and Chemical Functions: Monitor chemical usage, inspect and maintain chemical dosing equipment, analyze concentration of in-use chemical solutions, and support cleaning product trials.
  • Site Stock Control: Order stock, receive and manage stock on site, and report over/under supply or damaged stock.
  • Administration and Reporting: Accurately gather and report data, complete site-related documentation, and escalate any anomalies or test results.
  • Health and Safety: Comply with Company and Client health and safety rules, manage and update health and safety site files, and ensure all tools and testing equipment are in good working order.
Requirements:
  • Relevant technical qualification (e.g. Chemistry or Engineering) or relevant trade qualification (e.g. Red Seal)
  • Matric or equivalent
  • Working experience in the Food Industry essential
  • Computer literate (e.g. Outlook, Excel, and Word)
  • Demonstrate technical competence in engineering matters
  • Good communication and report writing skills
Personal Attributes and General Requirements:
  • Code 08 Driver's license and own transport essential
  • Prepared to work flexible hours
  • Fluent in both English and Afrikaans
  • Desire to learn and have good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Self-motivated and able to work with limited supervision and with close attention to detail
  • Team player with excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
