Job Title: Group Payroll Administrator

Exceed Human Resource Consultants is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Group Payroll Administrator to join our team. As a key member of our payroll team, you will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely processing of payroll for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain the highest standards of ethical conduct and integrity in all payroll activities.
  • Ensure the confidentiality of payroll master data and adhere to all legal requirements, tax, and labor laws.
  • Process payroll accurately and efficiently, including weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly payroll.
  • Manage new employee onboarding, including obtaining relevant information, reviewing, and creating payroll records.
  • Manage payroll amendments, including internal transfers and terminations.
  • Ensure accurate and valid payroll records for all employees.
  • Prepare accounting documents and post transactions as required.
  • Maintain the data management module of the payroll system for employees.
  • Attend to and resolve payroll-related queries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Collaborate with HR and other departments to resolve payroll discrepancies and issues.
  • Advise site HR on new employee creation to enable site-based activation of clocking functionality.
  • Prepare provident fund and related benefit schedules.
  • Action, review, and distribute relevant reports to pre-defined stakeholders.
  • Distribute payslips via ESS and manually as per relevant processes.
  • Perform payroll compliance functions as communicated by the Group Payroll Manager.
  • Maintain payroll records in accordance with standards and policies.
  • Perform administrative house-keeping tasks.
Requirements:
  • Grade 12 with Mathematics (not negotiable).
  • Relevant BCom Finance Degree or NQF Level 7 Finance Diploma.
  • Previous payroll training will be advantageous.
  • Recent Sage 300/Payroll system experience.
  • MS Excel advanced proficiency.
  • Demonstrate payroll processing principles, tax regulations, and benefits experience.
  • Demonstrate understanding of time management processes.
