National Sales Director

Smith+Nephew is a global medical technology company that designs and manufactures technology to improve healthcare outcomes. We support healthcare professionals to return their patients to health and mobility.

The National Sales Director will provide overall leadership and strategic direction across the South Africa business to deliver the ENT Franchise business strategy and financial KPIs.

This role requires developing and implementing business plans to maximize revenue and profit potential, plus developing associated organizational capabilities to deliver on market growth programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic direction and leadership to the South Africa sales team.
  • Develop and implement business plans to drive revenue and profit growth.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful execution of business strategies.
  • Analyze market trends and competitor activity to inform business decisions.

Requirements:

  • At least 8 years of post-qualification sales experience, including at least 5 years in medical devices/pharma sales.
  • Minimum of 4 years' Sales Management experience in the Medical or Pharmaceutical field.
  • Extensive knowledge of the Medical Devices Industry and demonstrated track record of expertise and career progress.
  • Strong understanding and knowledge of the South Africa market, including regulatory and legal policies and environment to mitigate risk to the business.
