I&J is a leading fishing company and manufacturer of high-quality chilled and frozen foods. As a Strategic Human Capital Partner, you will play a key role in assisting the Senior Human Resources Manager by providing generalist human resources services and advice to the business unit.

Key Responsibilities
  • Advise line managers to enable and improve line capacity and effectiveness with regard to Labour Broker Administration, Benefit Administration and HR Projects, Learning and Development, Employee Wellness, IR, Performance Management, Recruiting and Staffing, Talent Management and OD, Transformation and HR Reporting, Statistics and Compliance.
  • Oversight of HR Projects deliverables, including Business Unit specific and Human Resources Shared Services (HRSS) projects.
  • Facilitation of labour meetings with production departments and coordination of annual increase processes with labour agencies.

In this role, you will be responsible for managing Provident Fund death claim processes, ensuring effective communication on updated HR policies and procedures, and providing support and advice on the interpretation and understanding of HR policies and procedures.

Performance Management and Appraisals
  • Advice on poor performers to line managers and oversight of performance management processes, including completion of good quality Individual Personal Appraisals (IPAs), one-on-ones, mid-year and year-end reviews.
  • Ensuring alignment of IPA scores to business objectives and provision of feedback to Head of Departments (HODs) relating to changed and amended scores.

The successful candidate will have 3 years' experience in HR Management, including employer relations, remuneration, and legislation, with experience in a SAP-driven and project management environment being advantageous. A valid driver's license and reliable transport are required as travel between business units will be necessary.
