Our entity aims to substantially grow its business in the UAE and Asia, excluding KSA. To reinforce its capacity to increase sales volume in the region, our entity looks for a Business Development Manager interested in working collaboratively with local and Belgian teams to achieve this goal.

Your responsibilities as Business Development Manager

You will be responsible for identifying business opportunities, developing sales strategies, and negotiating contracts with key customers in the utilities industry.

Typical customers you will be targeting are TAQA, TRANSCO & Distribution companies, DEWA, Emirates Global Aluminium, ENGIE Plants, Sembcorp, Marubeni.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Acquisition and Relationship Management: Acquire new customers in the utilities industry domain, grow business with current customers, and develop close relationships with target customers and stakeholders.
  • Product and Service Introduction: Introduce target products and services in the region and identify development needs to meet market requirements.
  • Sales and Marketing Contribution: Contribute to sales and marketing plans, identify business opportunities, and negotiate contracts.
  • Presentation and Coordination: Prepare and lead presentations, and coordinate internal and external technical, financial, or legal professionals in the commercial process.

Your profile as Business Development Manager

You may be our future colleague if you have:

  1. An engineering degree in technical/scientific fields with over 10 years of experience in the electrical power/energy industry, including roles as operations or maintenance engineer and plant manager.
  2. An existing networker with potential clients in the domain, excellent team collaboration, communication, and reporting skills.
  3. The ability to work independently, handle multiple tasks, and demonstrate commercial and negotiating capabilities.
  4. A cooperative proactive approach, a strong customer focus, and a willingness to travel extensively.
  5. Fluent in English; being fluent in Arabic and French is a plus.
