Job Title: Global Trade Lane Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Global Trade Lane Manager to join our team at Barloworld Equipment. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing trade lanes, ensuring timely and accurate shipment of goods, and collaborating with suppliers, vendors, and freight forwarders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Trade Lane Management: Oversee and manage the operational aspects of specific trade lanes, including imports and exports.
  • Logistics and Transportation: Develop and implement plans to optimize logistics and transportation processes for the assigned trade lanes.
  • Compliance and Documentation: Ensure compliance with trade regulations, customs requirements, and documentation standards.
  • Customs Clearing: Manage and ensure timely customs clearing.
  • Performance Monitoring: Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) for trade lanes, such as on-time delivery, transit times, and cost metrics.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with suppliers, vendors, and freight forwarders and internal stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate shipment of goods.
  • SAP Management: Manage SAP processes related to order entry and supply chain including material master data.

Requirements:

  • Qualification: Matric or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience: Three to Five years' experience in a similar role.
  • Skills: Strong communication skills, problem-solving capability, and computer literacy (Proficiency in MS Excel and Outlook).
  • Competencies: Knowledge and experience in using SAP, accuracy and attention to detail, good communication skills, good people skills, ability to work under pressurized circumstances, and to meet deadlines.
