Accounts Receivable Manager: General Trade

The objective of the
Credit Control Manager:
General Trade
is to supervise the thorough administration of accounts receivable for General Trade, enhancing processes, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
This position actively mitigates credit risk, addresses disputes, and nurtures robust relationships with general trade clients, while providing vital assistance to the Accounts Receivable Supervisor and ensuring alignment with financial targets.
Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor's Degree (3 years) / NQF level 7 (Preferred)
Up to 6 years of experience (Operational Execution)
SAP/MS OFFICE
Key Responsibilities and Deliverables
General Trade Credit Oversight
Oversee the complete accounts receivable process, managing payments, collections, and reconciliations for General Trade Accounts.
Regularly assess AR processes for improvement, monitoring performance against KPIs and executing corrective measures within General Trade Accounts.
Ensure diligent monitoring and management of General Trade Accounts, complying with the National Credit Act.
Conduct credit assessments, facilitate new account setups, and negotiate special payment arrangements to reduce financial exposure.
Address customer disputes concerning payments and maintain monthly audits of debtor reconciliations.
Assist in managing intricate documentation related to Key Account customer master data.
Maintain age analysis within the Days Sales Outstanding (DSO) target and evaluate customer credit ratings and limits for General Trade Accounts.
Compile standard reports including cash forecasts and planning data for General Trade Accounts.
Support the Accounts Receivable Supervisor with additional requirements.
Compile standard reports and assist the Accounts Receivable Manager with additional needs.
General Operational and Financial Management
Actively engage in operational planning and budgeting initiatives.
Promote continuous enhancement by streamlining and optimizing relevant operational practices, processes, and systems.
Credit Control Manager:
General Trade
Ensure compliance with operational and financial frameworks, practices, processes, standards, and controls.
Manage costs and take necessary actions to mitigate any financial risks or non-compliance.
