Role Overview:

The Technical Sales Support Individual plays a crucial role in aligning the Global Product Line specialists with the Market Area (MA) and customer needs. This involves developing a full understanding of future projects, and the timing of these, to develop and grow the Metso Screening Equipment and Spares business in Market Area Africa.

The ideal candidate will have technical competence as well as a drive to assist in problem solving, and will be responsible for:

  • Supporting the Commercial Services department in developing and maintaining reporting tools
  • Building relationships with customers and elevating the Metso screening equipment brand and offerings
  • Developing a full understanding of upcoming projects and opportunities with longer term planning of business potential
  • Technically supporting the Commercial and/or QOM teams as per RFQ's and within deadlines provided

What You'll Need:

To succeed in this role, you should possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Diploma / Degree in Engineering or Metallurgy or similar
  • Minimum 5 plus years field experience of applications in minerals processing including vibrating- and process equipment
  • Minimum 3 years of Technical and Commercial Proposal preparation environment
  • Capital project proposal requirements, and interaction with Project houses will be beneficial
