Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Social Media Marketing Lead to join our team in Southern Africa. This role will be responsible for executing our global social media strategy, creating engaging content, and analyzing performance metrics to inform future strategies.

Responsibilities:

  • Social Content Creation: Develop high-quality video and photo content using iPhone cameras within our South African hotels.
  • Social Content Preparation: Plan and arrange internal and external shoots, ensuring timely editing and publishing.
  • Social Scheduling and Listening: Craft captions in the RCH tone of voice, schedule daily content across all global properties, and monitor brand mentions on various channels.
  • UGC Management: Moderate property widgets and manage rights to user-generated content using Stackla.
  • Influencer Management: Collaborate with the Head of Social Media to invite and approve influencer requests through Instagram or Jerne.
  • Paid Social Assistance: Assist in creating assets and copy for paid social media posts as required.
  • Reporting Assistance: Provide key statistics and figures for monthly hotel social media reports.
  • Social Trends Analysis: Stay up-to-date with social media trends and ensure content plans align accordingly.


Requirements:
  • Knowledge of Social Media Platforms: Familiarity with Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, and other platforms.
  • Content Creation: Ability to craft engaging content suitable for various platforms, including photography and videography skills.
  • Analytics: Understanding of social media analytics tools to track campaign performance and make data-driven decisions.
  • Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective interaction with followers and conveying the brand message.
  • Creativity: Ability to develop innovative ideas for social media campaigns and content that sets us apart.
  • Organisational Skills: Manage multiple platforms, schedules, and campaigns simultaneously, requiring excellent organisational skills.
  • Customer Service Skills: Handle customer inquiries, feedback, and complaints professionally and promptly.
  • Knowledge of Trends: Stay updated with the latest social media marketing trends and incorporate them into strategies where relevant.


Key Attributes:
The ideal candidate should possess the ability to generate creative content ideas, think outside the box, and adapt to changes quickly. They should also have a strong understanding of social media analytics, clear communication skills, and the ability to develop and execute social media strategies aligned with our overall marketing goals.

Salary: An estimated salary of R450,000 - R550,000 per annum, based on location and industry standards, is expected for this role.
