Role Objective

To lead SRP in establishing itself as the preferred provider of Sandvik crushing solutions within the mining and infrastructure sectors across Africa. This involves defining the strategic direction for the crushing solutions business in Africa, developing objectives aligned with the overarching strategy, and executing plans that ensure both revenue growth and profit & loss accountability for the crushing solutions product line.

Key Responsibilities:

Formulate a strategic business direction with a focus on territory-specific action plans aimed at expanding the market for crushing solutions capital equipment. Oversee the capital equipment sales team dedicated to crushing solutions, managing the sales process and holding direct accountability for sales performance in the Southern Africa region. Provide coaching and management for the crushing solutions sales team, including performance evaluations, while fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing with both the crushing and screening solutions sales teams. Collaborate closely with the BLM Screening Solutions and Territory Managers to develop actionable plans that target key areas for sales and revenue growth, promoting bundled offerings to enhance opportunity capture. Work in tandem with the Lifecycle Manager to ensure aligned efforts and actions that drive the growth of the installed base of crushers, while ensuring readiness for lifecycle support in accordance with strategic goals. Manage EPC and Key Customer Accounts in partnership with the EPC & Customer Accounts Manager and the BLM Screening Solutions. Develop and implement sales strategies and action plans tailored to core focus areas and segments, ensuring that capital equipment sales are pursued with an emphasis on aftermarket growth and bundling. Lead the planning and execution of Division Mobiles crushing solutions sales across Africa. Uphold EHS responsibilities for the crushing solutions team. Formulate EHS activities and initiatives in line with annual commitments.

Qualifications & Experience:

A professional qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, or a related field. Extensive knowledge and experience with Sandvik Crushing & Screening equipment. Over 10 years of relevant industry experience with an OEM in the mining and infrastructure sectors. Strong understanding and experience in budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning processes.

Additional Requirements & Competencies:

Proficiency in English. Willingness and capability to travel across various African countries. A valid passport. Familiarity with vibrating and/or crushing equipment. A solid understanding of mining site plants and process engineering. Strong judgment and problem-solving skills. Effective listening and logical interpretation abilities. A strong customer-centric approach. Advanced communication capabilities. Proven leadership and mentoring skills. Flexibility, self-reliance, and a proactive mindset. Excellent time management skills. Sound commercial reasoning and contract management abilities. A robust understanding of health and safety compliance in the workplace. The capacity to make informed decisions, execute plans, and take initiative. Proficiency in computer literacy and MS Office applications.
