Job OpportunityWe have an exciting opportunity for a Front Desk Assistant to join our team at AVI LIMITED's Head Office in Illovo, Johannesburg. Reporting directly to the CEO's PA (Office Manager), this role involves:
Main Responsibilities:- Receiving visitors and promptly notifying relevant personnel
- Maintaining the reception area and surrounding spaces, including meeting rooms, in a clean and organized manner
- Managing the main switchboard and reception area telephone, handling incoming calls, and directing them to the appropriate person or department
- Receiving and signing for deliveries, both business and personal, for employees, and ensuring employees are contacted to accept personal deliveries
- Coordinating courier and driver services for deliveries and collections
- Ordering stationery and other general office supplies as required, including beverages for the downstairs kitchen
- Managing meeting room calendars
- Providing administrative support with tasks such as filing, preparing board packs, and maintaining contract management systems
- Performing various ad-hoc duties related to office and building management, like reporting damages and coordinating contractor visits
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a corporate environment as a Receptionist and administrative assistant
- Grade 12 / Matric certification is mandatory; a secretarial diploma would be advantageous
- Excellent English language skills, both verbal and written
- Good telephone etiquette and a polite demeanor
- Prior experience in a corporate listed office environment would be beneficial
