Event Coordination Specialist

As an Event Coordination Specialist with Bidvest Facilities Management, you will play a vital role in ensuring the seamless execution of internal and external client events. Your primary objective will be to deliver exceptional customer satisfaction while adhering to our workplace management services.
Key Responsibilities- Operational Delivery: Assist in coordinating events and meetings for the site, including AV/VC setup requirements and liaising with clients, employees, and service providers.
- Coordinate all services during events, such as setup, stationery, catering, and beverages.
- Liaise with the catering company regarding event and meeting requirements.
- E nsure that rooms are set up according to client specifications and maintained throughout the day.
- Report any issues or concerns to the cleaning team or security personnel.
- Ensure the coordination of the final setting-up of areas in preparation for events.
- Provide table settings and decoration, as agreed upon by the client.
- Clear all food, crockery, and cutlery from rooms after events and ensure they are left tidy.
- Work with teams to develop and maintain a customer-focused attitude toward activities.
- Interact with clients to provide and process information in response to inquiries, concerns, and requests about products and services.
- Adhere to Bidvest Facilities Management's Safety, Health, Environmental, and Quality (SHEQ) Management Systems Policies & Procedures.
- Promote the company's image and corporate citizenry through deliberate and coordinated activities.
- A Matric (Senior Certificate) qualification, preferably in Marketing or Public Relations or Hospitality.
- A valid SA Drivers License.
- Minimum 2-3 years' relevant experience coordinating events in a similar environment.
- MS Office knowledge of OHS Act & ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems.
R400,000 - R550,000 per annum, based on experience and qualifications.
