Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to join our team at Massmart. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operations of the store by managing all maintenance and services in accordance with company standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Coordinate the planning and execution of maintenance activities.
  2. Manage the administration of maintenance contracts and vendor relationships.
  3. Ensure accurate recording of time keeping & leave records.
  4. Coordinate the raising of Capex Orders to Group Maintenance Department.
  5. Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with company policies.
  6. Collaborate with the Administration Manager to address any operational issues.
  7. Source and appoint registered vendors for maintenance services.

Health & Safety:
As a Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe working environment and ensuring that all team members adhere to safety procedures.

Team Management:
Effective communication and leadership skills are essential for this role. You will be responsible for ensuring that all team members understand company policies and procedures and for addressing any operational issues that may arise.

This role requires trust and honesty and entails the handling of cash and/or finances, which includes but is not limited to, the handling, administering, processing and distribution of the Company's monetary resources such as its stock in trade.

Requirements:
  1. Matric/Grade 12.
  2. Technical skills/ qualifications.
  3. Minimum 2-5 years' experience in Maintenance management role.
  4. GMR2 Machinery Act.
