Job Title: Retirement Fund Administrator

An experienced administrator is required to manage a portfolio of clients allocated to the SALT Umbrella Provident and Pension Funds. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of retirement fund legislation and regulations, as well as excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Reconcile monthly contributions for clients allocated to the SALT Umbrella Provident and Pension Funds, ensuring accurate and timely processing within agreed service level agreements.
  • Manage member data received from clients and maintain accurate records on the admin system, Everest.
  • Perform reconciliations, including deduction of risk premiums, investments, and fund expenses.
  • Monitor compliance, calculate LPI, and prepare invoices in terms of Section 13(a).
  • Process switches between investments, individual, and bulk.
  • Allocate individual and S14 transfers, complete required forms, and process various types of claims.
  • Liaise with members and clients via telephone and email, ensuring timely and professional communication.
  • Ensure accurate record-keeping and filing on the system and shared drive.
  • Prepare monthly admin reports and generate membership, paid-up certificates, and benefit statements.
  • Assist the fund accountant team with general and audit queries.
Requirements:
  • Undergraduate degree or retirement fund qualification.
  • Excellent Excel skills, including V-Lookup and pivot tables.
  • FICA awareness training.
  • At least 2 years' experience in employee benefits or retirement fund administration, specifically in a similar role.
  • Good knowledge of pension fund legislation, regulations, and guidelines.
  • Everest experience is advantageous.
  • Good knowledge and understanding of unitisation.
  • Excellent numerical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
