Job Summary

Isilumko Staffing (JHB) is seeking a highly skilled Data Capture Specialist to join our team. As a Data Capture Specialist, you will be responsible for capturing and processing data within established policies, procedures, and systems to meet client and bank requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Risk Management: Minimize financial loss by verifying client funds before processing requests.
  • Data Accuracy: Ensure the accuracy of requests before and after processing to prevent financial loss due to negligence.
  • Compliance: Adhere to bank policies and industry regulations to minimize opportunities for financial loss.
  • Bank Charges: Capture bank charges manually on the banking system for one-off requests.
  • Quality Standards: Meet quality standards by adhering to Service Level Agreements (SLA) and turnaround times.
  • Client Trust: Build client trust by resolving queries promptly, communicating SLA deviations, and suggesting resolutions.
  • Relationship Building: Build and maintain internal and external relationships with clients by educating and guiding them on the requesting process and system.
  • Reporting: Provide monthly workflow updates by preparing and submitting daily and monthly statistics reports to the team leader.
  • Fraud Mitigation: Mitigate the risk of fraud by verifying client details with records on the banking platform.
  • Security Procedures: Ensure security procedures are adhered to by verifying authorized signatories.
  • Client Confirmation: Confirm client requests by telephone to ensure they are aware of the request and that everything is in order for approval.
  • Request Capture: Capture the name of the client, date, and time, sign, and stamp in accordance with bank procedures to approve the request.
  • File Update: Update the receiving file by capturing the request on the server in the relevant folder.
  • Incident Reporting: Report and record serious incidents affecting department performance on the incidents form.
  • Workflow Adherence: Ensure adherence to all workflow processes.
  • Service Delivery: Improve service delivery by redirecting security stationery to the correct branches and updating branch details with printers and couriers.
  • Industry Knowledge: Stay up-to-date with legislation and other industry changes that impact the role by reading relevant newsletters, websites, and attending sessions.
  • Bank Vision and Values: Understand and embody the bank's Vision and Values by demonstrating them through interaction with the team and stakeholders.
  • Team Goals: Ensure personal contribution and participation contribute to the achievement of team goals.
  • Career Development: Create and manage personal career through guidance and support of management, department, and colleagues.
