As an Electrical Sales Representative, you will be responsible for achieving maximum sales profitability, growth, and account penetration within an assigned territory and/or market segment by effectively selling Electrical products and/or related services.", "Responsibilities": ["Establish and maintain business relationships with current and prospective customers in the assigned territory/market segment to generate new business for the organisation's products/services.", "Conduct thorough research to identify potential customers and determine their needs and preferences.", "Develop and present clear and effective written proposals/quotations for current and prospective customers.", "Resolve customer complaints and issues in a timely and professional manner.", "Collaborate with management, accounting, logistics, and technical service groups to coordinate sales efforts.", "Analyze the territory/market potential and determine the value of existing and prospective customers to the organisation.", "Create and manage a customer value plan for existing customers highlighting profile, share, and value opportunities.", "Identify and compare organisation product/services with competitors.", "Plan and organise personal sales strategy to maximise return on time investment for the territory/segment.", "Provide regular reports to management on customer needs, problems, interest, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services.", "Stay up-to-date with product applications, technical services, market conditions, competitive activities, advertising, and promotional trends.", "Participate in trade shows and conventions.", "Contribute to the team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.", "Prepare and submit monthly and weekly reports on sales, outstanding stock transfers, negative stock, back orders, and outstanding dispatches.", "Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, sales, and other relevant data.", "Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.", "Perform other duties as assigned by management.", "Required Skills and Qualifications": ["Minimum Qualification - Matric - Technical and/or Mechanical qualification is seen as an added advantage.", "2-3+ years' experience in the Electrical/Mechanical sector.", "Demonstrate aptitude for problem-solving.", "Ability to determine solutions for customers (consultative sales approach).", "Results-orientated and able to work both independently and within a team environment.", "Excellent verbal and written communication skills.", "Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite applications and contact management software.", "Market knowledge of the market and customer base in the identified area.", "Valid driver's license.", "Extensive travel - Works predominately out of the office. Required to visit customers on site e.g. mining plants.", "Works flexible hours.", "Subject to work beyond normal working hours, evenings, weekends, and holidays should the need arise.", "Attends and participates in continuing educational programs designed to keep you abreast of changes in your profession.", "Position may require out of town travel."]}
