Duties and Responsibilities
  • Oversee all functions of the team, ensuring seamless day-to-day operations.
  • Act as a Bank Signatory, authorizing EFT payments and updating creditor banking details.
  • Authorize journals, maintaining accurate financial records.
  • Manage the Point of Sale (POS) system, processing purchase orders efficiently.
  • Review balance sheet reconciliations, analyzing income statements to inform business decisions.
  • Examine monthly statistical reporting, including Group VAT submissions.
  • Compile Quarterly Statistical Reports for STATS SA, highlighting key performance indicators.
  • Lead year-end audits and budgets for Support Services, preparing consolidated accounts and annual financial statements.
  • Develop flash reports, monthly reports, quarterly reports, and forecasts to support informed decision-making.
  • Assist departmental management with queries and budgetary matters.
  • Manage group support services fringe benefit company car schedules for payroll, ensuring accurate deductions.
  • Analyze monthly budget vs actual variance, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Ensure control procedures are in place and operating effectively, maintaining compliance.
Minimum Requirements
  • A Bachelor of Commerce degree in Accounting.
  • A minimum of 5 years of managerial experience in a similar capacity.
