Purpose and Scope

The purpose of this role is to provide a solid financial foundation for projects by accurately estimating costs, supporting competitive bidding, managing risks, facilitating effective communication with clients, and contributing to the overall success of the projects tendered on.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of the tendering process and contractual requirements.
  • Apply a methodical approach to work, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Utilize strong mathematical knowledge and proficiency in Excel, Outlook, Word, MS Project, CCS, and Buildsmart.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective communication and project success.
  • Stay up-to-date with market and economic conditions, regional rates, and supply chain processes and policies.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of construction methodologies, including electrical contracting.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or related field.
  • Strong understanding of JBCC, FIDIC, NEC3, GCC, and other Conditions of Contract.
  • Excellent interpersonal and intrapersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
  • Coaching and mentorship skills, with the ability to multitask in a time-driven environment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a focus on solving complex issues.
  • Good negotiation skills and attention to detail.
