Network Support Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Network Support Engineer to join our team at Professional Resources Partners Pty Ltd.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain the company network infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and security.
  • Provide technical support to customers via helpdesk, phone, email, and on-site visits.
  • Assist with hardware and software issues, including setup and troubleshooting.
  • Maintain a high level of customer service and adhere to service management principles.
  • Take ownership of user problems and be proactive in resolving issues.
  • Troubleshoot system and network problems, diagnosing and resolving hardware or software issues.
  • Set up new user accounts and profiles, and manage user access and permissions.
  • Escalate complex issues to senior IT Support members as needed.
  • Maintain a log of software and hardware changes and problems detected.
  • Support users with computer equipment and provide necessary training.
  • Install and configure computer hardware, operating systems, and applications.
  • Monitor and maintain computer systems and networks, ensuring ISO compliance and security.
  • Complete daily verifications on critical systems, including backups, event logs, antivirus, firewalls, and Mimecast.
  • Maintain hosted network infrastructure with a focus on reliability, uptime, compliance, and security.
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism and adhere to ticketing system procedures.
  • Conduct network audits and reports as required by internal and external auditors.

Requirements:

  • N+ networking diploma or minimum of 3 years practical experience in IT.
  • Previous helpdesk support experience, including on-site and remote support.
  • Experience with O365 Exchange Server Administration and Mimecast management is an advantage.
  • TCP/ICP and 802.11 experience is also beneficial.
  • Domain controller and firewall management experience is required.
  • General network management experience is essential.
