As a Human Resources Business Partner at The Legends Agency, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our clients' HR landscape.

We are an in-country provider of recruitment and Employer of Record services in South Africa, with a reach extending across all 9 provinces and encompassing all 278 municipal areas. Our client base spans the USA, UK, and Australia, with international companies hiring South African staff relying on us for HR, IR, Payroll Tax Compliance, and Employee Administration services.

In this role, you will be the main point of contact for HR-related matters, building strong relationships with clients to understand their needs and preferences. You will collaborate strategically with our recruiters, providing them with regular feedback and ensuring that our services meet the highest standards.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Client Relationship Management: Develop and maintain robust relationships with clients, acting as their primary point of contact for HR-related matters.
  • Upselling Opportunities: Identify opportunities to expand our services, ensuring clients are aware of the full range of solutions we offer.
  • Recruitment Support: Collaborate with recruiters to provide them with regular feedback on client hiring needs and preferences.
  • Employee Onboarding: Prepare and distribute onboarding forms, offer letters, and employment contracts, coordinating the sourcing and delivery of IT equipment for new hires.
  • HR Guidance: Provide guidance on employee relations issues, HR compliance matters, and best practices, managing employees through their probationary period, disciplinary processes, and offboarding procedures.
  • Disciplinary Hearings: Conduct and chair disciplinary hearings, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
  • HR Reporting and Analytics: Prepare regular HR reports and analytics for clients.
  • Employee Offboarding: Manage the offboarding process, including sending tailored departure emails and overseeing the collection and return of IT equipment from departing employees.
  • General Client Requests: Handle changes to employment contracts such as salary adjustments and working hours, providing general HR advice and support as needed.
  • Labour Law Compliance: Ensure clients adhere to all regulatory requirements, advising them on South African Legislation.
  • CCMA and Labour Court Representation: Represent clients at the CCMA and Labour Courts (rarely).

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Labour Law, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in an HR role, preferably within an EOR, Recruitment Labour Broking/Contract Worker, or similar environment.
  • A strong understanding of South African labour law, regulations, and best practices.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
