Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Sales Executive to join our team at Curiska. In this role, you will be responsible for driving sales growth in the mining and construction industries across the African market.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prospecting and securing new business opportunities within the African Market;
  • Maintaining and building strong relationships with customers, industry stakeholders, and mines department representatives;
  • Achieving budgeted sales targets;
  • Processing new sales leads, preparing and sending quotes, and following up on customer inquiries;
  • Negotiating terms and conditions of sale with clients, including payment terms, freight, and currency;
  • Preparing and presenting tenders and presentations to potential clients;
  • Providing excellent customer service, including offering advice and technical information on company products;
  • Coordinating extensive travel, including mine visits, commissioning, training, presentations, entertaining, expos, and trade days;
  • Ensuring that refuge chambers sold are commissioned and serviced according to company specifications;
  • Presenting sales results and opportunities to management during monthly consultations;
  • Updating the company's CRM system;
  • Coordinating service and operator training with customers;
  • Developing the yearly strategic plan for the region.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years' experience in a similar role;
  • Experience in selling and supplying plant and equipment into the mining, construction, and petrochemical industry;
  • Ability to present to all levels within an organization, including senior management;
  • Technical aptitude;
  • Proven ability in achieving sales budgets;
  • Experience in the mining industry is a significant advantage;
  • Demonstrated ability to source and maintain customer accounts;
  • Self-motivated and career-focused individual;
  • Ability to travel extensively;
  • Proficiency in using MS Suite programs, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint;
  • Ability to present at seminars, conferences, and corporate functions;
  • Diploma or degree is an advantage;
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Salary:

The estimated salary for this role is $80,000 - $100,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
