Senior Sales Executive

Curiska seeks an experienced Senior Sales Executive to drive business growth in the African market. This challenging role requires a strong understanding of the local market and a proven track record in sales and account management.
Key responsibilities include:
- Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities, building relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers.
- Maintain and develop existing customer relationships, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Achieve budgeted sales targets, analyzing market trends and competitor activity to inform strategic decisions.
- Negotiate terms and conditions of sale, including payment terms, freight, and currency, to maximize revenue and profit.
- Prepare and present tenders and presentations, showcasing Curiska's products and services in a compelling and persuasive manner.
- Provide exceptional customer service, offering technical advice and support to ensure customer success.
- Travel extensively throughout Africa, visiting mines, commissioning equipment, training customers, and entertaining clients.
- Ensure that refuge chambers sold are commissioned and serviced in accordance with company specifications.
- Present sales results and opportunities to management during regular consultations.
- Update the company's CRM system to reflect sales activity and customer interactions.
Motivate, train, and mentor agents and distributors to optimize their performance and achieve sales targets.
Requirements- 5+ years' experience in a similar role, preferably in the mining, construction, or petrochemical industry.
- Strong understanding of the African market, including its challenges and opportunities.
- Ability to present to all levels within an organization, including senior management.
- Technical aptitude and knowledge of Curiska's products and services.
- Proven ability to achieve sales budgets and meet revenue targets.
- Experience in the mining industry is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to source and maintain customer accounts.
- Self-motivated and career-focused individual with excellent communication skills.
- Ability to travel extensively throughout Africa.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
The salary range for this position is approximately $80,000 - $120,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications. In addition to a competitive salary, Curiska offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
