**Job Summary**

Profile Personnel is seeking an experienced Site Supervisor to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for assisting the Site Manager with all site requirements and overseeing contractors on all sites.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • **Ensure Site Safety**: Follow established safety procedures and wear protective clothing to maintain a safe working environment.
  • **Programme Planning**: Develop and implement programme plans to ensure maximum output and meet deadlines.
  • **Drawing Implementation**: Implement drawings and specifications, with guidance from the Site Manager, to ensure accurate and efficient construction.
  • **Record Keeping**: Maintain accurate records of site information, including drawings and specifications, as per the company's systems and procedures manual.
  • **Plant and Equipment Management**: Ensure that plant and equipment are correctly applied, serviced, and maintained to optimize site operations.
  • **SHEQ Assurance**: Maintain and implement SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality) assurance and compliance to ensure legal requirements are met.
  • **General Housekeeping**: Maintain a clean, safe, and secure site by conducting daily inspections and ensuring general housekeeping standards are met.
  • **Work Assignment**: Assign work to team members, ensure materials and equipment are readily available, and monitor progress to ensure adherence to drawings and specifications.
  • **Sub-Contractor Coordination**: Coordinate sub-contractor activities to prevent out-of-sequence works and overlapping of trades in restricted areas.
  • **Reporting and Documentation**: Report breakdowns, stoppages, and obstructions preventing work to proceed to the Senior Site Manager and document accordingly.
  • **Daily Diary**: Complete a daily diary to record site activities and progress.
  • **Performance Management**: Monitor and manage the performance of subordinates, mentor junior staff, and practice sound labour relations and discipline.
  • **Grievances and Welfare**: Assist the Senior Site Manager with grievances and welfare requirements.
  • **Policy Compliance**: Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and practices.
  • **Motivation and Teamwork**: Motivate and establish a positive work context, and execute any other tasks and activities required.

**Requirements and Qualifications:**

  • **Education**: Must have a Grade 12 qualification.
  • **Driver's License**: Possess a valid driver's license.
  • **Experience**: 2-3 years of experience as a Site Supervisor in the construction industry.
  • **Communication Skills**: Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • **Team Management**: Ability to manage internal teams and contractors.
  • **Reading Skills**: Ability to read architectural drawings.
  • **Industry Experience**: Minimum of 5 years of experience in a supervisory role in the construction industry.
