Key Responsibilities
  1. Facilities Inspection: Conduct thorough inspections of hospital facilities, identifying potential hazards, safety concerns, and deficiencies in building systems, structures, and equipment.
  2. Code Compliance: Verify that construction, renovation, and maintenance projects adhere to applicable building codes, zoning regulations, and healthcare facility guidelines.
  3. Quality Assurance: Assess the quality of construction workmanship and materials used in hospital facilities and recommend corrective actions as necessary to maintain standards.
  4. Safety Assessment: Identify potential risks and implement solutions to mitigate hazards and ensure a safe working environment.
  5. Documentation: Prepare detailed inspection reports documenting findings, observations, and recommendations for corrective actions.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred.
  2. Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Building Inspector, with specific experience in the hospital or healthcare sector required.
  3. Thorough knowledge of building codes, regulations, and standards applicable to healthcare facilities.
  4. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to identify and assess complex building issues.
  5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with stakeholders at all levels.
  6. Certification as a Building Inspector or similar credentials preferred.
  7. Proficiency in using inspection tools, software, and documentation systems.

We offer a competitive salary of R450,000 - R600,000 per annum, depending on experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package.
