Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Administrative Coordinator to join our team in the Department of Economic Development. As a key member of our office, you will be responsible for handling incoming and outgoing correspondence, including mail, faxes, and other documents. Your duties will also include maintaining accurate records, filing and storing documents, and providing effective support to our staff.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Handle incoming and outgoing mail, ensuring that all correspondence is properly sorted, registered, and dispatched.
  • Receive and distribute faxes within 60 minutes of receipt, recording all incoming and outgoing faxes in the registry book and computer program.
  • Compile daily reports of incoming and outgoing faxes, as well as maintain accurate records of valuable articles.
  • Perform spot checks on post to ensure no private post is included, locking post in postbags for messengers to deliver to the Post Office.
  • Open and maintain remittance registers, record all valuable articles, and handle incoming and outgoing faxes.
  • Rend effective filing and record management service, opening and closing files according to the record classification system.
  • Sort and package files for archives and distribution, compile lists of documents to be archived and submit to the supervisor.
