**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Global Refugee Orientation Coordinator to join our team at the International Organization for Migration (IOM). The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating the Canadian Orientation Abroad (COA) programme, which provides pre-departure orientation sessions to refugees approved for resettlement in Canada.

**About the Role:**

The COA Coordinator and Facilitator will work under the direct supervision of the IOM Chief of Mission and the technical supervision of the Canadian Orientation Abroad (COA) Global Programme Manager. The role requires excellent communication, planning, and organizational skills, as well as the ability to work effectively with various stakeholders, including refugees, government agencies, and other partners.

**Responsibilities and Accountabilities:**

  • Liaise with partners to prepare COA participant lists for eligible refugee clients.
  • Coordinate with IOM departments involved in the preparation and delivery of COA sessions.
  • Liaise and represent COA vis-à-vis various stakeholders and promote IOM's refugee programming.
  • Submit COA statistical reports within the required timeline after completing a COA session.
  • Contribute to the development of surveys and promotional tools aimed at increasing the uptake of pre-departure services among refugees.

**Required Qualifications and Experience:**

  • University degree in Political or Social Sciences, Education, or a related field from an accredited academic institution with four years of relevant professional experience; or High school diploma with six years of relevant professional experience.
  • Experience working with refugees, providing information and orientation to, and engaging with refugees is an advantage.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with a variety of stakeholders, leading interactive training seminars or orientation sessions for youth and adults.

**Skills:**

  • Clear and concise communication in writing (English).
  • Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Attention to details.
  • Proven ability to communicate cross-culturally.
  • Solid computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office Packages (Office, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Adobe Pro, Zoom, Outlook).

**Salary:** We offer a competitive salary of $65,000 per year, commensurate with experience, plus benefits.
