As a Talent Acquisition and Programme Manager, you will play a key role in overseeing and coordinating the effective implementation of group-based interventions by Community Facilitators.

Our programme focuses on delivering evidence-based group interventions to adolescent girls and young women and adolescent boys and young men. We work at all levels across the country, from international donor agencies and national government to sub-district services and small community groups. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to contribute to a comprehensive package of core interventions addressing key factors that make adolescent girls and young women vulnerable to HIV.

The Determined, Resilient, Empowered, Aids-free, Mentored and Safe (DREAMS) programme provides a range of support to keep adolescent girls and young women safe from HIV and other risks. As a Talent Acquisition and Programme Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the implementation of this programme, including planning and executing weekly facilitation of Evidence-Based Interventions (EBIs) to relevant target populations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Program Coordinator to lead the team to implement and execute targeted demand creation activities.
  • Plan and execute weekly facilitation of EBIs to relevant target populations by community facilitators.
  • Support the Program Coordinator in stakeholder/partner mapping, maintenance of a database of stakeholders and their services/focus areas, and successful referrals and bi-directional linkages of DREAMS primary and secondary interventions.
  • Perform first line data completeness checks and submit data on behalf of the team; assist Program Coordinator to collect team output data for the compilation of reports.

Requirements

  1. Post Matric Qualification preferred.
  2. Minimum of 2 years' experience in leading direct implementation teams working in the HIV prevention field in a target-driven program.
  3. Related work experience in the health and social development sectors, and preferably in the field of AGYW and/or survivors of sexual violence advantageous.
  4. Experience in direct implementation planning, logistical support and basic data collection/completeness checks is important.
  5. Well established community/stakeholder relationship building track record/ability to network and navigate communities.
  6. Knowledge about: HIV prevention, sexual and reproductive health; HIV Testing Services; GBV programming; evidence-informed and rights-based programming for survivors of GBV, particularly for adolescent girls and young women.
  7. Excellent communications skills in English and any other South African Language.
  8. Ability to work well in a team environment, person-centered; possess leadership skills and qualities and be proactive.
  9. Good computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) with experience of web-based data systems.
  10. Problem-solving skills and ability to think on your feet.
  11. Must be highly organized and deadline-driven.
  12. Ability to work as a team member within multi-disciplinary teams.
