Role Overview

The Business Development Manager will be responsible for leading Sales Core Desk and Business Development teams to achieve targets.

This role requires a strong understanding of shipping containers, sea freight cargo shipment, and marketing tools.

Duties & Responsibilities
  1. Coach and steer teams to meet performance goals.
  2. Hold responsibility for team's performance.
  3. Create an open communication channel with stakeholders.
  4. Review and optimize workload to ensure delivery effectiveness.
  5. Promote the company's standards application.
  6. Ensure functional training requirements are fulfilled.
  7. Prepare calls, conduct calls, report and follow-up on calls for incubation accounts.
  8. Evaluate customer potential and conduct sales planning.
  9. Selectively engage in trade management discussions.
  10. Deliver feedback on market conditions.
  11. Follow-up on open sales leads and opportunities.
  12. Look for continuous process improvement.
  13. Manage and control teams functions according to guidelines.
  14. Develop sales strategies to increase business volume.
Desired Experience & Qualification

The candidate must have:

  • A proven track record of growing shipping clients.
  • Experience working with shipping vessels.
  • An understanding of shipping containers and sea freight cargo shipment.
  • Strong computer skills around marketing tools.
  • Strong sales and marketing experience.
  • A proven track record in sales and business development.
