As the Senior Manager of Vendor Relations, you will play a pivotal role in the establishment and execution of our services in South Africa.
Key ResponsibilitiesYour primary responsibilities will include:
- Collaborating with Vendor Managers and critical retail category teams to establish priorities and operational objectives based on vendor requirements.
- Leading a team of Associate Vendor Managers, driving the joint business strategies for our most significant vendors and ensuring substantial business outcomes.
- Coaching and mentoring Associate Vendor Managers on Amazon's operational frameworks, processes, tools, and business strategies, while fostering the development of essential skills within your team.
- Conducting audits of daily operations to enhance business metrics and overall performance.
- Regularly reviewing metrics to continuously improve the quality of vendor and employee experiences across various sub-categories.
- Managing relevant business segments for your entire category, maximizing results at scale.
- Collaborating with Amazon AVS teams globally to refine the program through efficiency initiatives that enhance team productivity.
- Encouraging vendor engagement with Amazon programs.
- Developing talent within your team to create a robust talent pool for Amazon.
- Bachelor's degree.
- 7+ years of experience in retail or KPI-driven business/sales roles.
- Proven experience in leading multifunctional teams and nurturing people managers in a fast-paced, data-driven environment.
- Ability to lead through a team while also being hands-on to achieve results.
- Demonstrated problem-solving capabilities and the ability to influence stakeholders both internally and externally.
- Master's degree.
- Extensive experience in retail, particularly in fashion and consumer goods, or in consulting (minimum of 3 years).
