About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Support Engineer to join our team at Amazon Development Centre (South Africa) (Proprietary) Limited - A78. As a Cloud Support Engineer, you will be responsible for providing exceptional support to our customers who are running ETL workloads or analyzing large amounts of data using AWS services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide advanced troubleshooting techniques to resolve complex technical issues related to ETL, data management, and cloud computing.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including development, sales, and marketing, to ensure seamless customer experience.
  • Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of AWS services, including Glue, Athena, and Managed Workflows of Apache Airflow.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies to provide innovative solutions to our customers.
  • Participate in the development and delivery of training programs to enhance the skills of our support team.
  • Contribute to the improvement of our support processes and tools to ensure exceptional customer satisfaction.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience in network and operating system support, virtualization, orchestration, and cloud computing.
  • 3+ years of experience in database administration, software development, and continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD).
  • 3+ years of experience in information security and compliance.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 4+ years of experience in network and operating system support, virtualization, orchestration, and cloud computing.
