Job Title: Grants and Stakeholder Manager

The Institute for Justice and Reconciliation (IJR) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Grants and Stakeholder Manager to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of grants and stakeholder management, including grant writing, grant management, and stakeholder engagement.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the overall grant/contract administration for projects/programmes in portfolio.
  • Ensure compliance with both internal and external (funder) policies and regulations.
  • Lead the development process and submission of funding proposals in conjunction with technical input from project leaders.
  • Advise programme teams, finance, and project teams on relevant donor requirements/compliance, potential funding opportunities, changes in donor priorities, and ensuring quality grant management for all related projects.
  • Ensure accurate submission of reports both internally and externally.
  • Identify and facilitate opportunities for relationship-building with key donors.
  • Perform any other related duties as may be assigned by the Head of Department.
Requirements:
  • At least a master's degree.
  • Years or more experience in grant writing, and grant management in a donor environment.
  • Evidence of securing funding and grant management.
  • Effective at managing stakeholders and partnerships.
  • Basic legal knowledge with regards to contracts.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills to work effectively in a multi-cultural environment, often at a distance.
  • Effective team player.
  • Excellent writing, reasoning, and analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to prioritise own workload and work with minimal supervision.
  • Advanced computer knowledge (specifically Outlook, Word, and Excel).
  • Driver's license and ability to travel if required.
