We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Grants Pre-Award Specialist to join our team at Sheldon Recruitment and Selection. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of grant proposals, including budgeting, financial planning, and coordination with external institutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and manage budgets for grant proposals, ensuring compliance with donor and funder requirements.
  • Coordinate with collaborating departments and external institutions to prepare grant proposals, ensuring timely completion of costings and justifications.
  • Review and advise on donor and funder budget requirements, ensuring that all applications meet organizational criteria.
  • Maintain communication with relevant role players to address questions, concerns, and ensure budget and due diligence tasks are completed on time.
  • Ensure that budgets are submitted in line with requirements and within the required deadlines.
  • Develop strategic and operational budgets, and attend Faculty Meetings to provide updates on pipeline.
  • Review award letters, raise any variances, and manage staff.
  • Ensure contract tracking system is updated.
Requirements:
  • Degree in finance with minimum of five years hands-on experience, working in a research grants environment.
  • Computer literacy in MS Office Excel (Advanced) and valid driver's license.
  • Minimum 3 years working knowledge of SAP or similar financial package.
  • Experience drafting Standard Operating Procedures and Policies.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, proficiency in English.
  • Strong planning and organizing skills, deadline-driven, and ability to multitask.
  • Ability to work independently and accurately with minimal supervision.
